The Do's and Don'ts of Listing Information on Zvents:
Do:
- For Events: Include all the things you want people to know about your event, and make it as accurate and useful as possible.
- Events must take place at a venue that is open to the public. TBD locations or, for example, private residences, are not accepted. If you're getting married, congratulations--but unless you're inviting everyone on the planet, please don't submit your wedding to the index!
- Events must be open to the public. Clubs that require a membership are fine, as long as those memberships are available to anyone.
- Please note that we do not accept Open House or rental listings, as these take place at private residences.
- Help people understand what the event is about by including a description.
- Include all relevant information about the venue, including necessary tips on parking or public transportation options.
- Update your listing if the event changes - especially if it is cancelled!
- Add a picture, because it makes your listing more attractive to other users. Make sure you have the appropriate rights to any graphics or pictures you include - this is also your responsibility.
- Tag your event. Tags are keywords you (as the event creator) can add to help users find your event.
- For Venues: Include information that is useful for people to know about your business, and make it as accurate as possible.
- Include a description.
