Fort Dobbs Living History Weekend: Victualling the Troops

See what the provincial soldiers at Fort Dobbs ate and how they prepared their meals. Demonstrations of field cooking will be presented at 11:30 a.m. both days of the weekend encampment. Visitors can also try a bite at the program. Military drill, musket and cannon firings, camp life demonstrations led by interpreters in period clothing and tours will be offered. The fort is located just one mile from I-77 and I-40 in Statesville.
