Spooktacular

This event, which is sponsored by the Newton Festival & Events Committee, the Newton Merchants Group, the Newton Appearance Commission, and the Newton Parks & Recreation Department, replaces the city’s annual Spooktacular held at Southside Park in previous years. Activities will center around the Square, and will include costume contests, games, prizes, storytelling, “trunk or treat,” and free photos by Seize the Photo Photography. The costume contests will feature one winner in each of the following categories: scariest, funniest, and most original. Age groups will be: 0-3, 4-7, 8-12, and 13 & over. Also, the Newton Appearance Commission will be sponsoring a decorating contest for local businesses to set the stage for the Spooktacular event.
