Cabarrus Family Health & Safety Day - Back to School Splash

Cabarrus Family Medicine will be partnering with Cabarrus County and Kannapolis City Schools to host our 8th Annual Cabarrus Family Medicine Health & Safety Day, Back-To-School Splash event to educate all children and their families on how to stay safe, healthy and happy. Cabarrus County and Kannapolis City Schools will be providing information on their transportation, after-school, nutritional services and will give students an opportunity to meet a teacher from their school.

This event will be an educational resource for parents and children, with information tables by local organizations, each highlighting a different topic, such as sun and water safety, germs and hand washing, sports medicine, weight management, lunchbox nutrition, school bus safety with Gus the Bus, and stranger awareness.

We will also have services available for families, including immunizations by the Cabarrus Health Alliance, free Secure Child ID checks provided by the Concord Sheriff's Department, a Bicycle Rodeo by Safe Kids and Concord’s Fire Safety House. Other fun activities and attractions will include a giant slip-n-slide, obstacle courses, moonwalks, a presentation from the Hoop Magicians, a Charlotte comedy basketball team, a live performance by Too Much Sylvia, food and refreshments for purchase, giveaways and door prizes including a FREE IPAD w/leather case!
